Weekend Getaway to Boerne, TX!

I spent this past weekend in the charming town of Boerne, Texas and had to share this experience with you. It was definitely the perfect spot for our anniversary getaway. It's got a great mix of history, redevelopment and community pride. Boerne would make a lovely day trip or longer vacation, and I've shared my favorite

The Dienger Trading Company is housed in a gorgeous historic building on Boerne's main street, and serves an amazing brunch! (They're on top of their safety procedures, too.) We loved shopping in their boutique that had something for everyone. We found some fun surprises for our girls.

We spent the weekend in this beautiful guest home steps from the main street, designed and built by the owner, an architect who is also a sixth generation Boerne native! It was the perfect space to enjoy the town and relax.

A beautiful trail runs beside downtown in River Road Park. I had a great run and it was a perfect way to enjoy green space in the park and explore the town.

Our anniversary dinner at Peggy's on the Green was wonderful - if you're looking for a great steak, look no further! It's located in the beautiful Kendall Inn, a 19th century stagecoach stop that's offered Texas hospitality (and dietary accommodations!) since 1859.

Boerne has great shopping everywhere, and no shortage of tasty restaurants and coffee shops.

I loved having breakfast and coffee at Bear Moon Bakery and Cafe, and we had a delicious lunch at Cibolo Creek Brewing Company with some great beer and returned later for more.
