Take your Jack-O’-Lantern creations to the next level by taking part in an advanced pumpkin-carving class at Pioneer Farms. This Elgin Christmas Tree Farm is getting an autumn makeover with their ongoing “Pumpkin Fun” event! Step into a fall wonderland and enjoy a variety of exciting activities like duck races, a petting zoo, hayrides, train rides, a playscape spot and the Farm’s beloved “Crazy Maze!” Make it a full-day outing by bringing your own food and enjoying the festive atmosphere at one of their many picnic areas. The Evergreen Farms Pumpkin Hunt is back! Take a free and fun wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields to hunt for hidden mini pumpkins. Once you’ve collected your perfect pumpkins, enjoy other festive activities like the “Famous Striker,” a pumpkin launcher, train rides, bounce tracks, mazes, a zip line for kids or head over to the beloved fishing pond. If you’re looking for another spot that’s completely jam-packed with all-day autumn adventures, then look no further than Harvest of Fall Fun at Sweet Berry Farm. The list of activities to enjoy feels endless with highlights like a candy corn kid maze, barnyard maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, face painting, sand art, pony rides and more! Visitors can even make their own bouquet by picking out an array of gorgeous flowers from the field. If you need a break from the back-to-back fall activities, head to the “Pumpkin Grill” for a rest and to grub on some classic eats like grilled corn, hot dogs and sandwiches.
