Happy Thursday, Y'all! While the holiday festivities are over, the new year has just begun — and I always find this time to be perfect for reflection and renewal. With 2021 behind us (what a year!), 2022 brings new possibilities, and it’s a great way to start fresh with a clean slate. Did you make any new year’s resolutions? For me, I’ve committed to some new goals for myself both in my personal life and work, and I’m looking forward to seeing how these come to fruition in 2022!
As for real estate in 2022, I’m happy to share that there’s already some particularly great recent news that came out. Effective as of January 1st, there’s a new law in place that provides property tax relief by allowing homebuyers to file for homestead exemptions in the year when they purchased their property rather than having to wait until the following year to qualify!
