Happy Friday, Y'all! The cooler weather sure is nice, isn't it? I can't recall the last time we experienced temperatures this cool this early in September. I had to get out my slippers! We were gearing up for a weekend in the pool with the kids, but now it looks like a hiking adventure will be perfect. We also have some house projects in the works including a new refrigerator, new exterior paint colors and a new deck for the backyard! I'll have before and after photos for you on the paint next week! If you are dreaming up some changes to your home, please reach out. I'd be happy to help you make decisions that will give you the highest return on your investment and connect you with some great contractors. I'm here for you and all your house needs. Call, text or email me! |
With summer in our rearview mirrors and fall fast approaching, September often gets overlooked. We are already zooming through the month, but before the fall festivities and eventual holidays begin, I believe September is a great time to reflect. In fact, September is National Self-Improvement Month. Hello, perfect timing! Need a good refresh before diving into the holiday months? Try out one of these self-improvement ideas below to feel like a better you. |
| Utilize your phone for personal growth. While constant phone use can cause added stress, it can also be used for good. Working on self-improvement can be as easy as tapping on a button to reflect on your day or input your individual goals! I love this list of apps from Small Business Trends. Although some of the list gears towards work and business, these apps can still be used by all for everyday personal improvement. |
Join a Book Club. Time to hit pause on that next Netflix episode and open up a good book! While solo reading is beneficial, I like the idea of joining a Book Club. At a time when we could use some more connection, a Book Club is perfect for building a reading list, enhancing social interactions and making reading more fun! For local groups, give Austin 360 Book Club or Austin’s Silent Book Club chapter a try. Both have wonderful communities and are virtually based. Or, you can always start a Book Club with friends and family — this article shares simple tips for getting started! | |
| Up your fitness game. Getting back into a fitness routine, particularly one that focuses on both mental and physical health, is ideal for self-improvement. One nice way to create this balance? Simply going outside to walk or run. Austin Fit Magazine provides a quality list of Austin neighborhood running trails here worth checking out. If low-impact training is more your thing, I love the idea of a yoga-hike! Austin Fit Magazine also highlights an awesome yoga-hike group to join that harmoniously combines physical activity with mindfulness. |

If you’re considering listing your home as we head into the fall market, or are looking to capitalize on the current real estate boom, let’s discuss how I can help you with your real estate needs! |
