Happy Thursday, Y’all! If you've been paying any attention at all, you know 2021 has been record-breaking for Austin real estate. With the latest jumps in home prices, many people are curious about their current home value. I want you to know that this is something I can always help you with, even if you're not planning to sell anytime soon. The first option is that I can prepare a Home Valuation report for you, which includes details about recent sales and my opinion about what your home could sell for in the current market. The other thing I can do is create a Collection on Compass.com that enables you to monitor the home sales activity in your neighborhood. I'm a big believer in knowing the value of your home and any other asset you own, for that matter. You can consider me your resource when it comes to staying current with your real estate values. Text or email if you or someone you care about would like either of these options! See the link below for my contact info.
I hope you have a lovely holiday weekend if you celebrate Easter or that you already had a lovely weekend last weekend if you celebrate Passover! Please remember to enjoy this gorgeous weather to the fullest before those pesky mosquitos start buzzing!

Austin Homes Sell for More Over Asking Price Than Any Major U.S. City, Report Says
|
No April Fool’s jokes here — Austin’s housing market remains hotter than ever, and according to a new report from Redfin, Austin homebuyers are willing to pay the highest premium of all U.S. metro areas analyzed in the past month.
A recent article by KXAN discusses this further, stating that “according to the report, homes are selling for 7% over asking price. An average Austin home listed at $400,000 sold for $428,000 from Feb. 14 to March 14. A year ago, homes in Austin were selling nearly 1% below asking price, the report says.”
The major influx of people moving to Austin has certainly made a direct impact on these market numbers.
“The average person looking to move to Austin has a $852,500 home-buying budget, Redfin’s report says, and that’s 32% more than current Austin residents looking to buy a home.”
