Happy Tuesday, Y'all!
Perspective is everything. When I moved to Austin in 2007, the Frost Tower was one of the largest and tallest buildings in Austin. It's 33 stories high and taking up a whole city block. Now, 17 years later our skyline looks dramatically different than it did then, and there are 37 high rises proposed with one reaching 60 stories. Can you imagine where we'll be in another 20 years?
I hope you are staying safe as COVID cases continue to climb in Travis County. News about the virus has been unsettling to say the least. I just learned of a client's brother who is in ICU. Please wear your masks! I'm working hard to stay grounded while also staying informed. I came across this video, which put our current situation into sharp perspective with the other crises seen around the world since 1900.
This is the worst pandemic that I've seen in my lifetime, but I feel so fortunate to have access to today's technologies which make us safer, more informed, and easier to keep busy at home as we make our way through this tough time together.

Transitioning to working from home full-time can be very difficult, especially with lots of family members all working at home together! Homeowners are needing to carve out more work-friendly areas, and are turning to their backyards to create new workspaces.
When building additions onto the home is too cost-prohibitive, or too big of a headache with building codes, transforming a backyard shed into an office outbuilding is an innovative option! Click here to read the New York Times's article on home office sheds.

in June, which broke May’s record of
85 million unique users!
Javier Vivas, Director of Economic Research at Realtor.com commented, “the consistent, record-level home buyer interest we’ve detected on Realtor.com over the last five weeks is setting up the tightest summer home buying season on record.” Read more on home search spikes from Forbes here.

Congratulations to our clients on their beautiful new home in Mueller! Oksana helped them purchase their previous home 6 years ago. They loved their Cherrywood cottage, but with two toddler boys
they started to burst at the
seams and
needed some more space.
After a few tries in the area, they found the perfect home in Mueller right across from the park. They're looking forward to taking advantage of their larger space and everything Mueller has to offer!
