Happy Thursday, Y’all!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far and are looking forward to a sunny weekend ahead! There’s a lot of great things happening this weekend (see below for my top picks!), but I also wanted to share another important event that’s taking place this Saturday: The Neu Community Launch.
I know I recently shared with you all a bit about Neu Community, the most innovative community in the U.S., which is making its major debut in the Austin area this fall 2021. But, if you didn’t get a chance to check it out or want a refresher, you can find out everything you need to know here.
The Neu Community Launch this Saturday is a special opportunity to get a first look at one of the many modular housing options available. It will take place at the company’s warehouse in Pflugerville, and there will be food and drinks provided as well. The event is exclusive to Compass agents, and we can only take a limited amount of clients as our guests. So, if you’d like to attend, please let me know!
I hope to see you there! And if you want to discuss this community further, or if you have any other real estate questions, I'm always here to chat.

New Homeowners Are Quitting Offices Instead Of Giving Up Working From Home, Study Says
|
The pandemic completely changed the real estate game — with a high majority of people working from home this past year, people were more eager than ever to move to other cities and into different homes that better suited their new work-from-home lifestyle. Yet now that everything is opening up again, many people, especially new homeowners, are unwilling to budge on going back into the office.
A new study from Realtor.com revealed some surprising insight: A quarter of pandemic home buyers will choose their new home over their job if asked to return to the office, and nearly half will try to negotiate a flexible schedule.
”Our survey data shows that people are really enjoying their new communities and larger homes, and aren't willing to give them up anytime soon. Looking forward, if companies return to more conservative policies on working from home, we could see an influx of new homeowners in the job market. For companies willing to stay more flexible with either hybrid or entirely remote opportunities, there is a large cohort of young professionals with growing families who value homeownership and affordability, and welcome the benefits of a technologically-enhanced employment landscape,” says Realtor.com.
