After many years and many moves (buying investment properties in the Austin metro area) we are excited to be resident Austinites again as of last year and we are hoping to stay put for a while! I bring our most recent move up here as it's tax appraisal season and for any of you new Travis County home owners like us, there's good news that TCAD just announced that they will not reappraise homes in 2020. Â
We did however receive a very official looking form requesting the sales value of our home to more accurately update their tax district data which I promptly threw away (
and I advise you not fill out or return yours either). Don't forget that Texas is a non-disclosure state and what you paid for your home is your private information. Â
