Happy Thursday, Y’all!
We all know how much of a crazy whirlwind this past year has been — not only with the pandemic, but also with Austin’s intense and bursting housing market. The competitiveness of home buying in and around Austin has been a bit stressful and overwhelming for potential buyers, to say the least, but I want you all to know that there is a little light at this crazy Austin real estate tunnel… and that is that things ARE getting better!
Home prices are still way up from last year in and around Austin, and we don’t anticipate that going down anytime soon, however, things are stabilizing. There is no longer a widespread buying frenzy, as we are seeing fewer lines to see homes, fewer showings and fewer offers rolling in. With a couple of months of home pricing stabilization, we are able to predict trends much better and are able to stay ahead of the market.
So yes, we can all take a collective sigh of relief for now… even if just a little one. We’ll have a better idea of Austin’s “new normal” in the market once we get through the summer and into the fall, and, as always, my team and I will keep you thoroughly updated along the way!
But just know that if you or someone you know are ready to find the perfect home in Austin, there’s no need to be hesitant over the current process or the competition. My Ellevé team and I are here to guide you with ease and confidence through the home buying journey, and I promise you that we have everything you need to succeed. Let's find your new home!

Austin has already been anticipating the arrival of Tesla’s new $1 billion automotive factory near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, but now, there’s another Tesla development in the works — Tesla’s new solar-powered neighborhood in Southeast Austin.
Named SunHouse at Easton Park, this is the first Tesla Solar neighborhood in the U.S. and is marked as “an energy-neutral, sustainable community and a model for the design and construction of sustainable large-scale housing projects around the world,” says Dacra, the SunHouse’s real estate development team.
"Residents of these new 'solar homes' will most likely generate enough energy to supply their daily needs while reducing electric-grid demand," according to Clean Technica.
