Happy Thursday, Y’all! We already know that Austin gets a ton of buzz, but it seems like almost every day there’s something new and exciting making its way to the city! This past week? Business Insider shared some major scoop — the world’s largest 3D-printed 100-home community is coming to Austin and starting construction in 2022! (See below for the details and a first look!)
It’s certainly an exciting time to live in Austin and watch so many amazing developments unfold, and it’s just the beginning. As the city grows and more people choose Austin as their next home, the demand for housing will only increase from here! We are still seeing low inventory, so for sellers in the area, this is something to consider. And for buyers, it’s still great to get in now before the eventual rush post-holidays. Plus, if you (or someone you know) are out of state and interested in making the move to Austin, it’s seasonally a nice time to visit, too. In fact, Austin recently ranked (see below) as the #1 hot spot for winter travel by WalletHub — mainly due to Austin’s mild winters and endless options of things to do and see. So, as we go into these prime weather months, it’s a great time frame for exploring the city and checking out some available homes!
Whatever your needs are or if you just simply want to chat about anything — I’m always here!

A groundbreaking new development is coming to Austin! Home construction giant Lennar and the 3D printing construction startup ICON have announced that they will be creating a 3D-printed 100-home community in Austin that is the first of its kind.
Business Insider got the details on this project, and here are some of the highlights:
"The homes will be designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), which also designed Icon's 3D-printed Mars habitat for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration," says Business Insider.

"The homes will be created using Icon's printing and construction system Vulcan, which prints the company's proprietary 'lavacrete.' According to Icon, its systems create dwellings that are 'stronger and longer lasting' compared to traditionally constructed homes. The units will also have photovoltaic roofs to make the homes more energy-efficient."
