Happy Friday, Y'all! It has been refreshing to have my daughter back in school this week (half-time, at least!) It is a joy to see her so happy and reunited with some of her friends that she hasn't seen since March. With even more disturbing and devastating events occurring this week in our country, I am reminded how precious and uncertain human life truly is. I'm incredibly grateful that all my family in Louisiana made it through last night's hurricane. Phew! I hope this finds you and yours safe as well.
Despite all that is going on, I choose to believe that our future will be better than our present. It's easy for me to believe that when I look at our children. There may be nothing more important for me to contribute to our future than to invest in the happiness, well-being and worthiness of my child. Let's stay present and engaged as parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, etc. to keep lifting up our children's brilliant minds and loving hearts. With the start of school, we are still not seeing any of the normal slowing in the Austin real estate market. I wrote 2 offers just last night! It's never been a better time to SELL real estate in Austin, and it's never been a better time to BUY in Austin! If you or someone you care about has a need, I'd love to help! |
It’s back-to-school season and for many families, this means continuing to juggle between working from home and helping kids with virtual school. I don’t know about you, but one thing that helps me get through these changing times is staying organized! It’s amazing what a little home de-cluttering can do for the mind. Need some organization-inspo? I've got you covered. See below for a few home organizing ideas that will make this summer to fall transition feel like a fresh, new start! |
| Give your kitchen a face-lift. No, I'm not talking about a full remodel, but more like a full de-clutter intervention. Now that summer is nearly over and we're still spending more time at home, this shared gathering space could use some freshening up. The Spruce shares some fun ways here to not only better organize your kitchen, but make it look cute and stylish in the process. |
Make schoolwork easier. Do you have a child doing virtual school at home? Whether it’s temporary or permanent, navigating kids through back-to-school virtual learning is a difficult task. One way to make it better? A clutter-controlled study spot. These home classroom ideas are a must-read for any parent looking to make the virtual schooling experience easier (and less messy)! | |
| Finally create your ideal working space. For many of us, working from home isn’t going away anytime soon. If you’re still working from home and don’t have a designated workspace by now, I’d advise making the switch! Having a functional and organized home workspace makes working smarter, less stressful and much more efficient. Plus, it doesn’t require a lot of room! Beautiful, small-scale workspace ideas like these from Country Living are some of my favorites. |
