We’re really into the thick of summer right now, and I hope you all have been enjoying some fun, sunshine-filled days with your friends and loved ones. I know how it can often feel a bit hectic at this point in the season, especially with lots of vacation travels on the agenda and summer camp send-offs. But, I hope you all are still taking some much-needed time for yourselves and your family and are soaking in these present moments before summer flies on by!
As for other things moving along rapidly, the latest housing market stats for this past June are here (see below for the full data)! Now, at the mid-year point, we can see that Austin home sales in the first half of the year increased 21.6 percent year-over-year to 6,467 sales, while the median price increased 30.9 percent to $530,000.
Since we are halfway through 2021, and with all of the craziness dying down, the good news is that we can better predict trends for the second half of the year. Data from the last six months have shown us that Austin’s real estate market remains stronger than ever, and rising median prices and low inventory are still set to be a reoccurring trend in the next few months.
