Happy Thursday, Y'all! We all know there’s been a lot of national coverage on Austin this past year, especially with the fiery housing market we experienced in the spring, major tech company relocations to the area, and the ever-increasing population growth. For as long as I've lived here, Austin has and continues to make many “Best of” lists, which I like as it validates my original decision to move here, but secretly, I don't want everyone to know! I know you know what I mean. Yesterday, I learned from a local economist that Austin now is the ONLY city in the US that has completely recovered from the 2020 recession. I will share more about his report in next week's newsletter.
The Greater Austin Chamber’s latest job market update reveals how Austin ranks very high on the list of top-performing job markets in the U.S (see below for the full details). I recently read that the Austin Chamber is currently working with more than 250 companies that are considering an investment in Central Texas. This includes dozens of potential headquarter relocations as well.
If you were spooked by the wild spring market we had (and understandably so), know that we've seen 5 months of stabilized prices and are back to the pace we saw in 2019. It's still competitive with only one month of inventory, but much more relaxed! With this news, our strong economy and the low interest rates, it is truly an ideal time to buy or sell a home in our area. If you or someone you know is a renter and curious about getting educated about buying a home, let us know and we'll send you some information about our next first-time homebuyer info session.
My team and I are here and ready to assist with any buying or selling needs, and we always look forward to working with new clients to create their real estate experience full of ease, fun and exciting outcomes! How can we help with your real estate goals?
