Happy Thursday, Y’all! It seems like more and more these days, someone I know and love tests positive for COVID. I'm grateful all are experiencing mild symptoms. I hope you all are wearing your masks and staying safe! The light at the end of the tunnel definitely appears to be closer than ever. Once a town of hippies and musicians, Austin has now become the hottest tech city in the country. With Elon Musk and now the CEO of Dropbox and many other tech elites moving to town, it's happening at full tilt. Of course, it's no mystery to me...I've always felt that Austin was underrated and undervalued.
What does this mean for Austin real estate? I think it means we can expect more of what we've been seeing for the past several months. Lots of demand, low inventory and prices on the rise. This December is likely going to be a record-breaking month with the holidays not causing the usual lull in real estate activity. I'm seeing many buyers just getting started on their searches instead of waiting for the New Year like they've done in the past.
