Happy Friday, Y’all! What a week it's been! So far like 2020, 2021 has also had its fair share of surprises and exciting tales for future history lessons.

The same is true for the Austin market. The surprise to me is how aggressive buyers have gotten with their offers! Woah! Despite this heightened competition, we still have buyers winning homes and sellers who are definitely over-the-moon-happy. Austin Outperforms Other Texas Cities in Luxury Real Estate

With home sales rising month after month, we know that Austin's real estate market is still not slowing down. And now, a new Texas Luxury Home Sales Report reveals that Austin is outperforming all other major Texas cities in the luxury real estate sector as well

“The Austin metropolitan statistical area, or MSA, has had 1,534 homes sell for over $1 million between November 2019 and October 2020. This is a 41% increase over the previous year compared to the Texas average of just under 24%," says Christa McWhirter in a recent article from Austonia.com. McWhirter further shares that Austin’s luxury home sales are currently almost two times the Texas average.

Additionally, according to the Texas Luxury Home Sales Report, Austin’s luxury homes spend less time on the market at around 71 days compared to 78 days in Dallas, 79 days in Houston and 133 days in San Antonio.
